(SRI LANKA )This single stamp is titled Place- Ampitiya Simenary, Single. This single stamp features the century old Jesuit Seminary of Sri Lanka.The National seminary of Our Lady of Laka was founded in 1890 as the first priestly formation centre in the region of Ampitiya (Kandy) in central Sri Lanka. Since 1955 it has been the national seminary for the entire country. Those collectors interested in Place stamps will welcome this souvenir sheet to their collection. This is a wonderful addition to all collections regardless of age.
